The life of 31-year-old Ayşe Çelik, who was trapped under the rubble in the February 6 earthquakes in the Mehmet Akif District of Kahramanmaraş’s Dulkadiroğlu district and became bedridden due to spinal cord damage, continues with a responsibility rising on the shoulders of her children Eren and Kerem.

He Described the Moment the Earthquake Hit

Ayşe Çelik, who made an effort to save her children during the earthquake, said, “I threw my children under the bed. However, when there was no room left for me, I lay on top of them. The wall of the room came up to my waist. Therefore, I was confined to bed.” she said.

A Great Burden on Their Children’s Shoulders

Çelik stated that his 11-year-old twins are responsible for taking care of him and said, “Now they meet my needs. They prepare my food, help me get into my wheelchair and support me in taking a shower. In this case, I was looking after them, now they are looking after me and carrying a big burden on their shoulders.” .” said.

Twins’ Emotions

Eren Çelik said, “We help my mother, wash the dishes and clean the house.” Kerem Çelik said, “My mother got into this situation because of the earthquake. I am trying to do physical therapy exercises for her.” he said.
