Reminding that he is a machine technician, Türkyılmaz stated that when he looked up, the pulleys on the pole were not rotating lockedly, he immediately called the contact number written on the cabin, reached the officers and told them to stop the cable car to avoid causing an accident.

“I SAID ‘STOP THE CABLE CAR'”

Türkyılmaz, “They called and said, ‘the pulleys on the pole are not turning. That’s why I said, ‘The steel rope is creating sparks, stop the cable car immediately.’ They hung up the phone, it took 5 minutes, there was no stopping. 5 minutes later, I called again and said, ‘Do not take any passengers, stop the cable car immediately, sparks and smoke are coming out.’ After 3-4 minutes, when the cable car started again, I looked back and saw a cloud of dust covering the area. Phone records can be checked. I probably called and warned him first. “If it had been stopped and released when I called, this incident would not have happened.” he said.
