Sivas Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams inspected weddings and similar entertainments throughout the city. During the inspections carried out since the beginning of 2024, judicial proceedings were initiated against 28 people who fired guns at various entertainments. 13 pistols and 5 shotguns were seized by the gendarmerie.
Making a statement on the subject, Sivas Provincial Gendarmerie Command said in the published announcement:
“Wedding etc. by Sivas Provincial Gendarmerie Command. With the understanding of “Don’t Shoot Happiness, Don’t Damage Your Future” in entertainments, judicial proceedings were initiated against (28) people who were found to have fired a gun in 2024, and (13) pistols and (5) shotguns were seized. In addition, all headmen in our area of responsibility were informed by SMS. Sivas Provincial Gendarmerie Command will take all measures with determination and diligence to ensure the peace and security of our citizens, to prevent them from turning wedding and entertainment houses into funeral homes and to prevent weapons being fired. It is announced to the public with respect.” His statements were included.
