RIZE (AA) – “Sira night” was organized by Türk Telekom Fine Arts High School in Rize.

At the event held at İsmail Kahraman Cultural Center, the choir consisting of 8 teachers and 36 students, conducted by Furkan Alper Topal, sang various folk songs.

School Principal Mehmet Kanbur said that they continue their education and training in the music and painting department.

Stating that the Sıra night is a program in the nature of a lesson, Kanbur said, “We aim to keep our culture alive, enrich it and pass it on to future generations.” said.

Pointing out the intense participation in the program, Kanbur said, “We had very emotional moments. It made us extremely happy to see our students on stage and to feel that we were teaching them something. We think we achieved our goal.” he said.

Music teacher Furkan Alper Topal stated that there was a good energy in the hall and thanked the participants.

Tuğbanur Eksilmez, one of the students, said that they were tired but happy while preparing for the night.

Belinay Yılmaz said, “I attended the sira night for the first time in my life. I was very happy to be here. I would love to have it again.” she said.

Deputy Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Ofluoğlu, Branch Managers Selçuk Torpil and Mehmet Kibaroğlu, other guests and citizens attended the program.
