According to the information obtained, the incident took place in the Small Industrial Site in Ceylanpınar district of Şanlıurfa. A tradesman working at his workplace saw a cloud-shaped darkness in the sky. The shopkeeper, who looked carefully at the approaching darkness, noticed that thousands of honeybees were coming towards them.
The shopkeepers, who got over the initial shock, tried to protect themselves against bee stings by running outside.
Industrial tradesmen tried every way to get rid of the bees that invaded their workplaces. The shopkeeper first tried to repel the bees by lighting a fire and making smoke, but when he failed to do so, this time he intervened with the bees with an air gun. Shopkeepers sprayed air into their workplaces and tried to make the bees escape. Seeing that this did not work, the shopkeeper tried to remove the bees with pressurized water this time. The shopkeeper, who struggled for about 2 hours, finally managed to get rid of the bees.
Industrial tradesman Halil Ölmezler, who said that they were raided by bees in the same way last year, said, “While we were working at work, we suddenly saw bees coming in the form of a cloud. We were surprised at what happened. After that, we made a light smoke with our own means so as not to harm them. They also disturbed us because we could not do business here. Likewise, we experienced this last year. “I don’t know where they come from, how they come,” he said.
