The identity of the body found in the area where the cargo ship sank has been determined

BURSA – It was determined that the body found in the area where the cargo ship named Batuhan A sank on February 15, off the Karacabey district of Bursa, belonged to 22-year-old machinery trainee Ahmet Atav.

A body was found on the sea surface 2 days ago, in the area where the ship sank off İmralı Island, Karacabey district of Bursa. The lifeless body was removed from the sea by Coast Guard teams. While the body was thought to belong to one of the two missing crew members of the sinking ship named Batuhan A., it was taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute for identification.

As a result of the procedures carried out at the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute, it was determined that the body belonged to 22-year-old mechanical trainee Ahmet Atav.
