Giresun Provincial Employment and Vocational Education Board convened

Giresun Governor Mehmet Fatih Serdengeçti, Giresun Mayor Fuat Köse, Deputy Governor Mehmet Fatih Yakinoğlu, various public institutions and organizations, professional chamber presidents and NGO representatives attended the meeting, which was started by the Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan on Thursday, April 25 at 14.00. . At the meeting, the studies carried out in 2024 on employment and vocational training and the results obtained were evaluated.

Mustafa Sarı, Giresun Labor and Employment Agency Provincial Director, announced that 10 thousand 730 job-seeking citizens applied in 2024 and 1,780 people were placed in jobs. It was also stated that 69 courses and programs were organized in 2024 and a total of 769 unemployed people participated in these programs. It was also shared that the institution contacted 1,347 employers within the scope of its employment mobilization and held individual meetings with 5,136 unemployed citizens.

In the last part of the meeting, participants shared their opinions and suggestions regarding employment and vocational training. The meeting ended with summarizing the decisions taken and determining the date of the next meeting. Minister Vedat Işıkhan, in his post about the meeting, said, “We will continue to implement programs that support employment and safe work environments in our provinces, and we will continue our determined fight against unemployment.” He included his statements.
