The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye published the statistics of established and closed companies for March. Accordingly, in March, the number of companies established decreased by 12.2 percent, the number of real person commercial enterprises decreased by 16.2 percent, and the number of cooperatives decreased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous month.
In March, the number of companies established decreased by 22.4 percent, the number of cooperatives decreased by 11.8 percent, and the number of real person commercial enterprises decreased by 47.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. During this period, while there was a 15.6 percent increase in the number of closed companies and a 29.1 percent increase in the number of cooperatives, there was a 17.2 percent decrease in the number of real person commercial enterprises.
COMPANY ESTABLISHMENT WAS NOT OPERATED IN ARDAHAN IN MARCH
The company was not established in Ardahan in March. Of the total 9 thousand 14 companies and cooperatives established in the month in question, 86.2 percent were limited companies, 11.3 percent were joint stock companies and 2.6 percent were cooperatives. 37.7 percent of companies and cooperatives were established in Istanbul, 11.3 percent in Ankara and 7.3 percent in Izmir.
Of the companies and cooperatives established last month, 2,963 were in the trade sector, 1235 in the manufacturing sector and 1173 in the construction sector. Of the real person commercial enterprises established, 440 started to operate in the construction sector, 313 in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, and 121 in the manufacturing sector.
It was recorded that 628 of the companies and cooperatives closed in March were in the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, 259 in the manufacturing sector and 179 in the construction sector.
It was determined that 565 of the closed real person commercial enterprises were operating in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, 200 were operating in the construction sector, and 141 were operating in the manufacturing sector.
While 231 cooperatives were established in March, 155 of them started as residential buildings, 46 as business cooperatives and 9 as cooperatives for tourism development.
COMPANIES WITH FOREIGN SHARE CAPITAL
Of the 623 foreign joint-capital companies established last month, 368 were partners from Türkiye, 33 from Iran and 16 from Germany.
Of the foreign joint-capital companies that have started business, 62 are joint stock companies and 561 are operating as limited companies. 264 of the companies were established in the wholesale trade in non-specialized stores, 99 in the construction of residential and non-residential buildings, and 97 in the business and other administrative consultancy activities sector.
Foreign capital partner share constituted 64.1 percent of the total capital of established foreign joint-capital companies.
29 THOUSAND 593 COMPANIES WERE ESTABLISHED IN 3 MONTHS
The number of companies established in Turkey in the January-March period of this year decreased by 15.5 percent compared to the same period last year, decreasing to 29 thousand 593. In the same period, the number of companies closed increased by 26.6 percent to 5 thousand 309.
