STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE “23 APRIL SPECIAL SESSION” EVENT

As part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, the April 23 Special Session titled “The 1000th Anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert and the Becoming of Anatolia as a Turkish Homeland, Turkey in 2071” was held in Ankara.

Students from Menteşe Martyr Gendarmerie Major Kıvanç Cesur Secondary School from Muğla, Ayşegül Zeynep Kürşad and Tunahan Yıldız, attended the event attended by the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and students from 81 provinces.

In the first session of the event held in the First Grand National Assembly of Turkey in two sessions; A recreation of the historical day of April 23, 1920 was made. The students, who came together in the historical First Assembly with period-specific costumes, opened the First Grand National Assembly, representing the will of the Turkish nation, accompanied by prayers. In the second session, April 23, 2071 was recreated. Students took the floor and made speeches on the national, spiritual and cultural values ​​of our country, as well as the point it can reach in the fields of industry and technology.

Regarding the “23 April Special Sessions” held for the first time this year, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin said, “As the Ministry of National Education, we are trying not to let our past be forgotten, and we are making efforts to raise our children in the best possible way so that they can protect this country entrusted to us. In our session “We discussed how our friends, who will become MPs in about 50 years, or even if not, will be responsible members of the society, are raised to be sensitive and respectful to the country’s issues and the nation’s problems, and to be able to produce solutions.” He included his statements.
