Burdur Provincial Police Department announced that a person who was found to be involved in theft was caught during the operations carried out at the Thursday market on April 4, 2024 in Yeşilova District.

In the statement made by the police, it was stated that the person named AG, who was previously determined to have stolen wallets and bags and whose description resembled the one in the security cameras, was observed and followed. It was stated that the suspect left the bags in his hand at different points and when asked about the stalls where the clothes in the bags were stolen and sold, it was determined that the clothes were stolen. When AG dressed in different clothes and came to pick up the bags he had left, he was caught and taken to the police station. During the interrogation, C.İ. AG, who admitted that he stole the wallet of a person named, also showed the place where he threw the empty wallet. In addition, in the identification of the person named AY, who was the victim of the bag theft that took place in the previous weeks, it was stated that the AG committed the theft. During the body search of the person, 6 thousand 805 Turkish Liras, which were considered to have been obtained from the crime of theft, were seized.

An investigation was launched regarding the matter for open theft. The person named AG was released on condition of judicial control by the court.
