They disregarded public health: 9 tons of fake milk and delicatessen products were seized

Ankara With the operation organized by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, the suspects who ignored human health were dealt a blow. While 9 tons of products seized during the raid on the address where fake milk and delicatessen products were sold and produced were destroyed, 12,500 labels prepared to be pasted on the products were found.

THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE WAS NOTIFIED AND THE GENDARMERIE TAKE ACTION

Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams took action upon a notice received on the Alo 174 Food Line affiliated with the General Directorate of Food and Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. With the support of Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams, an operation was carried out on the business in question operating in Abidinpaşa District of Mamak district.

MOLDY FOODS WERE CONCEALED

During the operation, 6 thousand 889 kilograms of kashar cheese, 1575 kilograms of vegetable margarine and 257 kilograms of sausage were found, most of which were mouldy, spoiled and did not have mandatory label information. Counterfeit foods with a market value of approximately 4 million Turkish Liras and 12,500 labels belonging to various food companies were seized. It was determined that the fake labels in question would be attached to the products before they were put on the market.
