DENİZLİ (IHA) – With the decision of the Hunting Commission of the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks ((DKMP), the opening and closing dates of the hunting season were determined and the hunting season ended throughout the country.

An informational message about the hunting season was published by the 5th Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks. The statement published by the Regional Directorate is as follows:

“Within the scope of Land Hunting Law No. 4915, the 2023-2024 hunting period started on 26.08.2023 and ended on 03.03.2024. During the period when hunting is prohibited, the breeding cycle is ensured for the sustainability of wildlife. Thus, it is aimed to protect wild animal populations and pass them on to future generations. Until the date when the hunting season will be reopened and announced through the official newspaper, all segments of the society are expected to be more sensitive in natural environments, acting with the awareness that hunting, disturbing game and wild animals, and collecting their young and eggs are prohibited. Compliance with the rules introduced by the Ministry and the Central Hunting Commission is of great importance in terms of ensuring the sustainability of hunting and wildlife resources in the balance of protection and use and transferring them to future generations, and sanctions will be imposed on those who do not comply with the rules.”
