Bolu hosts thousands of citizens every year with its natural beauty.

Famous for their unique views, Abant Lake National Park, Yedigöller National Park and Gölcük Nature Park are flocked by hundreds of thousands of local and foreign holidaymakers.

Nature parks and national parks, which fascinate with their unique views, also attract the attention of couples and social media content producers who want to take photos and videos.

While newlywed couples take photos and videos in Abant, Gölcük and Yedigöller to create a memory for themselves, some couples also request drone shooting from photographers.

The cost of drone shooting is 153 thousand 850 TL

The Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks increased the penalties by 58 percent for those who shoot without permission for commercial purposes in nature parks and national parks.

If those who take unauthorized drone footage for commercial purposes are detected, a fine of 153 thousand 850 TL is imposed.

Photographers must obtain permission and pay 3,110 TL for wedding-engagement photography and video shooting, and 30,880 TL for fashion shooting, to the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.

5 times the penalty for shooting without permission

The daily cost of shooting documentaries, movies, TV series and commercials in parks with permission varies between 6 thousand 150 TL and 30 thousand 770 TL. If the shootings in question are taken without permission, a penalty of 5 times the daily wage is imposed.

It was stated that if individuals or businesses do not pay the fine, a judicial process will be initiated by the General Directorate of National Parks.

“These penalties seem to be a deterrent against illegal shootings.”

Serkan Erkan, the owner of a photography studio who shoots weddings, engagements, henna nights and organizations in Bolu, stated that he wants photographs, videos and drone images to be taken so that newlywed couples will have a memory they will never forget in Bolu’s natural wonders. “Couples want to be in touch with nature during shoots. Our couples from Istanbul and Ankara come to Bolu for shooting. The increase in shooting prices here also affects couples economically. If they want a drone shooting in Abant in Gölcük, it will be a burden for couples with the increase in current prices. On your most special, happiest days, these prices should be a little more minimal. We think these prices are high for a short 3-5 frame photo. Our couples also want drone shooting. There are also people in the city who do this with malicious intent. We photographers are trying to do this job officially. It takes a while to obtain the necessary permissions from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. The wedding date of the couples is determined and it may take 1.5-2 months to obtain these permissions. “These penalties seem to be a deterrent against illegal shootings.” he said.
