The irresponsibility of the bus driver in Adana caused a terrible accident.

Hatice Sabahi (75), who went to Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine Balcalı Hospital for a check-up at around 14.30 on April 24 in Sarıçam district, took the private public bus used by Vedat K. to return home.

He fell from the bus and was seriously injured

While the bus was driving with its door open while the driver was smoking behind the wheel, Sabahi stood up to show his transportation card. Sabahi, who lost his balance during the maneuver, fell down from the open door and hit his head on the asphalt.

Upon notification, medical teams came to the scene of the accident and took Sabahi to the hospital by ambulance after first aid.

taken into custody

The driver was detained and taken to the police station. It was determined that Sabahi, a mother of 6 children, who was taken into surgery at the hospital, had a brain hemorrhage and fractures in her collarbone, shoulder blade and rib cage.

Life-threatening continues

Sabahi, whose blood accumulated in his skull was drained, was intubated in the intensive care unit. Sabahi’s retired teacher husband Cemil Sabahi (74) and their children went to the hospital and waited for the good news.

The driver was released

Driver Vedat K., who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, was released on condition of judicial control by the court.

“If he can survive the life-threatening situation, his fractures will be taken care of.”

Cemil Sabahi explained that his wife could not survive the life-threatening situation. “This is clearly attempted murder. I don’t know why he left the door open. Are they doing this to burn one liter less diesel? He also smokes. Is human life this cheap? He was released under judicial control. My wife’s brain bleeding was stopped with surgery. He has been put to sleep for a long time. Moreover, he has many fractures on his body. If he can survive the life-threatening situation, his fractures will be examined. “I am in an extremely miserable situation.” he said and shed tears.

“We got hurt, don’t let anyone else get hurt”

His son, Selahattin Sabahi (51), stated that precautions should be taken regarding buses driving with open doors. “We have been in the hospital for 3 days, I have been following the buses and they are still driving around with their doors open. I want this to stop. This serious problem of Adana needs to be solved. We were hurt, we shouldn’t let anyone else get hurt. My mother’s life is in danger. Fractures cannot be treated. We complain about the driver. “I couldn’t understand his release.” said.
