The regional final of the “Kal Hafiz” memorization competition organized for citizens by the Presidency of Religious Affairs was held online. Rize came first in the region in the “Women’s 5 Juz” category and second in the “Men’s 30 Juz” category.
The regional finals of the memorization competitions organized by the Presidency of the Mushaf Examination and Recitation Board for citizens who do not work within the body of the Diyanet, in 2024, were held by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (DİB) in order to contribute to the protection of the institution of hafiz and to help citizens who had previously practiced hafiz but weakened their memorization for different reasons to strengthen their memorization. .
The contestants who participated in the previously held provincial final competitions and won the competition competed fiercely in the Black Sea Regional Final held online.
Ayşe Demir, who competed from Rize in the “Women’s 5 Juz” category, came first in the Black Sea region, and Selman Kurt, who competed in the “Men’s 30 Juz” category, came second in the region.
Ayşe Demir, who came first in the competition, will represent Rize in the Türkiye final to be held in Ankara on May 9.
