Snow and log cleaning work has been started on the plateau roads to prevent citizens from experiencing any problems before the plateau migration that will start in May and June in Trabzon.
In this context, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Department continues its road opening works in high areas with 25 work machines and 50 personnel. On the one hand, the teams fighting against the snow, on the other hand, are working hard to detect and repair the roads damaged throughout the winter.
Stating that the work will continue until there are no more closed plateau roads, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç said that they are working to ensure that everyone can travel smoothly during the plateau migration process. Genç said, “Some of our citizens will go to the plateau with their herds of animals, some to plant in their gardens, and some to repair their houses damaged in the winter. We need to open the roads to enable our citizens to reach the plateaus and camps. Citizens may need all kinds of support during the plateau migration process. In this regard, our municipal teams continue to work intensively. “We will continue our struggle to keep our roads open in high areas and ensure transportation safety,” he said.
