Investing.com – Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) published motor land vehicle statistics for March.

Accordingly, 226 thousand 617 vehicles were registered to traffic in March. This figure represents an increase of 17.1% compared to the previous month.

Motorcycles took the lead

Motorcycles were the category with the most registrations, accounting for 45.5% of vehicles registered in traffic in March. It was followed by automobiles with 39.1%. Pickup trucks ranked third with a share of 8.7%.

Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 18.2% in the number of vehicles registered to traffic. In this increase, the 33.6% increase in motorcycles and the 43.4% increase in special purpose vehicles were particularly noteworthy.

As of the end of March, the total number of vehicles registered in traffic reached 29 million 367 thousand 254. In this figure, automobiles took the lead with a share of 52.8%, while motorcycles took second place with a share of 18.1%.

Two out of every three revolutions are in automobiles

When we look at the transfer transactions, 865 thousand 144 vehicles were transferred in March. 67.1% of these turnovers consisted of automobiles.

When traffic registrations were examined according to car brands, it was seen that Renault, Fiat and Chery stood out among the brands with the most registrations.

When we look at the fuel types, it was determined that 66.1% of the cars registered in traffic run on gasoline. However, it was observed that diesel and LPG fueled cars also had a significant share.

It is also among the statistics that cars with a cylinder volume of 1300 and below occupy an important place among the cars registered to traffic.

In addition, it was seen that gray and white stood out in the color preferences of automobiles, while blue and black were among the preferred colors.
