Antalya News – Smoke from burning crates in the warehouse garden covered the sky

Adem AKALAN/ANTALYA, (DHA)- The smoke released as a result of the burning of plastic crates in the garden of a warehouse in ANTALYA covered the sky.

The fire occurred around 09:00 in the garden of the warehouse located on Hanımeli Street in Altınova District of Kepez district. Plastic crates in the garden of the warehouse began to burn for an unknown reason. Employees who saw smoke and flames rising from where the safes were located reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon notice, police, fire brigade and medical team were dispatched to the area. Although warehouse workers tried to intervene in the fire, they were unsuccessful. Fire crews arrived in a short time and started extinguishing efforts. The fire was taken under control and extinguished with 45 minutes of work by the teams. Fire crews prevented the flames from reaching a house near the warehouse. The smoke resulting from the burning of the safes could be seen from many parts of the city. Teams are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire.
