ADANA – The fry fish production season started with the milking of broodstock fish at Adana Agriculture and Forestry Directorate Fisheries Production Station.
Eggs were milked by the teams from the broodstock fish taken the day before and prepared for milking in the mini pools in the hatchery section of the station.
Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Mehmet Nuri Kökçüoğlu, told reporters that they milked eggs from prepared brood fish.
Stating that they carry out the necessary activities for the sustainable continuation of aquaculture, Kökçüoğlu said, “Our station has an area of approximately 67 thousand square meters. We have soil and concrete pools in our station. We produce baby carp fish here and release them into the inland waters of Adana and neighboring provinces.” said.
