He killed a motorcyclist in Adana, left his girlfriend and the vehicle and ran away.

Motorcyclist Ziyad S. (33), who was hit by İzzet Sefa R. at the intersection in Adana, lost his life. Caught by the police, he said in his statement: “When I looked at the clock, I did not see the motorcyclist and hit him. “I ran away because of the shock of the incident and the crowd,” said the suspect, who was arrested.

The accident occurred at around 01:00 on April 21 at the intersection of Mustafa Kemal Paşa Boulevard, Ziyapaşa District, Seyhan district. University student İzzet Sefa R. met with his girlfriend Bahar T. and other friends at a place and had drinks. After a while, Bahar T. said that she had to go home and got up from the table with her lover İzzet Sefa R.. İzzet Sefa R. took Ezgi M.’s car with plate number 01 BBB 83, one of the friends he met, without notice and left the place. İzzet Sefa R. lost control of the car while driving at the intersection and hit first Ziyad S. on a motorcycle and then 3 cars. In the accident, Syrian national Ziyad S., who fell off the motorcycle, hit his head on the asphalt and was seriously injured. Suspect İzzet Sefa R. left the car and his girlfriend and fled on foot.

HE WAS TAKEN INTO SURGERY, BUT COULD NOT BE SAVED

Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident upon the notice of other drivers. Ziyad S., who received first aid, and Yakup Yaşar T. (33), one of the drivers, were taken to Seyhan State Hospital. Ziyad S., who was taken into surgery, could not be saved despite all the intervention of the doctors. Bahar T., whose information was sought by the police, claimed that İzzet Sefa R. was drunk. Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau teams affiliated with Seyhan District Police Department, who started an investigation into the incident, caught İzzet Sefa R.

‘I THOUGHT BAHAR SAID WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE’

İzzet Sefa R., who was taken to the police station, said in his statement: “I took the key from the valet at the venue to drop off my girlfriend. I thought Bahar said we bought the vehicle. When I looked at the time, I didn’t see the motorcyclist and crashed into him. I ran away because of the shock of the incident and the crowd. “I regret it,” he said. İzzet Sefa R., who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures, was arrested by the court.
