The young firefighters who qualified to enter the Mersin Fire Department by showing the necessary competencies in the written and track exams held in early 2024 completed their 4-month basic training in preparation for the profession.

Young firefighters, who learned the smallest details of the profession with theoretical and practical applications from expert trainers in their field at the ATA Training Center by the Training Branch Directorate, came face to face with fire in their last training.

The fire training carried out in the Urban Search and Rescue Area was as realistic as possible. Firefighters fighting against the flames reaching a height of approximately 5 meters were taught by Training Supervisors Davut YEŞİLYURT and Muharrem ÇAVDAR about fast and correct organization in case of fire, communication method, task distribution and correct team formation, as well as techniques for progressing against the flames by making the target smaller, Figration established and two and received three-pronged fire intervention training.

Young firefighters, who have successfully completed their final training, will start their duties in pre-determined detachments after the graduation ceremony to be held on May 3.
