Kırşehir Municipality, which distributed seedlings in Cacabey Square in May last year, will gift seedlings again this year within the scope of its social responsibility project.
Mayor Selahattin Ekicioğlu stated the following in his statement on the subject:
“As Kırşehir Municipality, we continue the seedling distribution this year, which we started by saying “Ancestral Seeds are the Richness of Our Past” and continued in previous years.
Our efforts to support local producers with our seedling gifts will continue from now on. Kırşehir Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate produces tomatoes, peppers and eggplants etc. that are suitable for the climate and soil conditions of our city. We are happy to distribute the seedlings produced from local seeds of vegetables to our citizens of Kırşehir.
Within the scope of the campaign we prepared this year, we also aimed to raise awareness within the framework of the social responsibility project with the slogan “Some things we think of as waste are not garbage.” We will gift seedlings to our citizens who brought 30 recyclable materials (glass, plastic, metal) between 26 April and 6 May, in our Parks and Gardens Directorate campus area between 8-10 May, in return for the document we provide. “Our citizens who want to buy seedlings will be able to deliver their recycling materials to the Waste Collection Point we established in Cacabey Square, in return for a document.”
