The ‘forget-me-not dessert’, which received a geographical indication with the initiative of Amasya Governorship and Visit Municipality, was reshaped in the hands of teachers and students at Ilduş Hatun Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Stating that village bread, grape molasses and walnuts were used to make the dessert, Food and Beverage Services Teacher Bilsen Bodur said, “Our dessert tastes very good. “The person who eats it never forgets its taste,” he said.

Reminding that his mother also made the dessert in his childhood, Bodur said, “It was made in the villages. It wasn’t done much in city centres. “Now we will teach this dessert to our students so that they can sweeten the tables,” he said.

“A dessert with economic, nutritional and cultural value”

Stating that they started to participate in competitions with a registered dessert type, İlduş Hatun Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Principal Zübeyde Komaç said, “It was a pride for us to make and present a dessert that is very economical, nutritious and has cultural value.”

Seda Koçak, one of the students, said, “We will not let you forget your forget-me-not dessert. “We will make everyone taste this taste,” he said.
