Kocaeli Provincial Police Department Cyber ​​Crimes Branch Directorate teams went after the criminal organization that committed cyber fraud, led by Serkan Kınalı, upon complaints of fraud. In the studies carried out, members of the organization made reassuring and deceptive conversations with the complainants on the open lines of the call center established with the complainants regarding the sale of fake advertisements they placed on e-commerce and advertising platforms, and the amounts they received from the complainants under excuses such as deposit, cargo fee, transportation fee and insurance fee were transferred to the criminal organization. It was determined that they transferred money to other accounts opened by their members or to various virtual crypto money platforms and tried to lose track of the money converted into virtual crypto currencies.

COMPLAINTS OF 37 PEOPLE WERE RECEIVED

Within the scope of the investigation initiated, complaints of 37 people, including families of earthquake victims and disabled citizens, were received using the methods specified. It was determined that people were defrauded when they wanted to shop from online advertisements.

52 MILLION MONEY INPUTS

Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that 52 million 675 thousand 400 TL was in and out of the accounts of members of the criminal organization. It was also determined that it established call centers in 5 different regions. It was determined that three members of the criminal organization had 25-year sentences for a total of 23 separate crimes.

56 SUSPECTS CAUGHT

As a result of the investigation, 56 suspicious persons were caught and detained in a simultaneous operation carried out in 11 provinces including Kocaeli on April 23, with the aim of catching members of the criminal organization and obtaining criminal elements. During the searches, a large amount of digital material subject to crime was seized.

THEY WERE REFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE

49 suspects, whose procedures were completed at the police station, were sent to Gebze Courthouse. It was determined that 5 people were in prison for other crimes. It was learned that 2 people were released after their procedures at the police station.
