Mayor Akın said that the first issue they addressed after taking over the Metropolitan Municipality was the efficient use of water.Unfortunately, there is a big problem with water all over the world. What is the problem? Wild watering. The same is true in Balıkesir. We examined its applications around the world. We had worked before; to see what we can do. And we set a goal, we are progressing in the light of this goal, and we will continue to move forward.” said.
‘DRIP IRRIGATION WILL BE COMMON’
Emphasizing that they have taken measures to end wild irrigation in agriculture, Mayor Ahmet Akın said that they will invest in popularizing drip irrigation systems instead. In this context, Akın stated that they will gift drip irrigation pipes to farmers in the fields where wild irrigation is done.This is actually the farmer’s gift to us” said.
