District Finals of “MY FAMILY IS WINNING” Project Book Reading Competition Held

The district finals of the book reading competition organized by Giresun Provincial Directorate of National Education within the scope of the “My Family Wins” project, which encourages family interaction, were held simultaneously with the participating districts on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 10:00. In this event, which aims to bring families together, strengthen their social ties and reinforce their reading habits, families competed with their knowledge through the works they read.

Our Provincial Director of National Education Ertuğrul Tosunoğlu, who participated in the central district final, emphasized in his evaluation of the project that reading books in the family improves children’s language skills, enriches their vocabulary and gives them the habit of reading. Tosunoğlu said, “While this joint activity shows children that reading is an enjoyable activity, it also strengthens family ties and increases the child’s thinking and empathy abilities. Encouraging book reading within the family also positively affects children’s academic success and lifelong learning passion.” He used his expressions.

Our schools, which came first in the district, gained the right to participate in the provincial final to be held in May.
