Kutahya in the municipality mhpFazilet Kara, a council member from , filed a complaint against MHP Provincial Chairman Selçuk Alıç and District Chairman Ayhan Toy, saying that they pressured her to resign. In his complaint petition, Kara said, “I am concerned about life safety, I demand protection.” MHP Central District Chairman Ayhan Toy stated that Fazilet Kara’s ideas in the MHP Provincial Organization did not suit him and that he did not want to work.

Kutahya MHP member of the Municipal Council, Fazilet Kara, went to the Kütahya Martyr Mehmet Kartal Police Station and complained about 2 people. In his statement to the police station, Kara stated the following:

“… Just before the election, at the meeting within the Provincial Directorate, MHP Provincial Chairman Selçuk Alıç and District Chairman Ayhan Toy suggested that I give them unconditional allegiance. After the elections, at the meeting where Ayhan Toy and 10 other council members were present, on 15.04.2024, they made us sign a document requesting that we resign. A few council members, including me, signed this document.

While we were at the meeting, we said that the document submitted for our resignation was incomplete and the date section was blank. Ayhan Toy also said, ‘The date section will remain empty, we will fill it in later.’ When I asked why, he said, “There is no democracy here, you have to abide by whatever our organization decides.”

“I LEARNED THAT I HAD RESIGNED WHEN I CALLED FROM THE MUNICIPALITY”

Fazilet Kara said, “We were in a meeting at the MHP Provincial Directorate at around 14.00 on April 18, 2024. After I left the meeting, the resignation petition I signed was taken to the municipality by group deputy Aziz Gündüz and delivered. I was not aware that the document was taken to the municipality. The municipality staff called me due to incomplete information. “I later learned that the document was taken to the municipality.” He stated that he was not aware of the situation.

Kara said, “When I went to the municipality, I took my petition here and tore it up. I have it in my hand now. With my own consent, I am handing over the torn petition to you to submit to the file. While I was at the municipality, Ayhan Toy called Mr. Efraim, the Registrar, and said, ‘How can he return his petition? “You will do it and you will not put it into effect,” they had a conversation over the phone. Even though I am an elected person, people named Selçuk Alıç and Ayhan Toy are putting pressure on me to resign by mobbing me.
