An operation was organized by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams to catch those who manufacture and trade drugs.
During the operation in Daday and Vehicle districts, it was determined that Umut İpek, Ersin Aykaç, HEA and PGİ were growing hemp by creating an air conditioning system in their farmhouses.
During the search of the farmhouses, 27 kilograms of marijuana, 42 hemp roots, 3 thousand 771 dollars and 20 thousand lira, which were considered to be obtained from crime, an unlicensed hunting rifle, a gun, drug grinding apparatus and air conditioning materials used to create a greenhouse environment were seized.
The suspects were detained by gendarmerie teams.
Umut İpek and Ersin Aykaç, two of the suspects who were referred to the courthouse after the procedures at the gendarmerie, were arrested for “manufacturing and trading drugs”, while the other suspects were released on condition of judicial control.
