(AA) – Students of Battalgazi Hacı Ahmet Akıncı Anatolian High School in Malatya opened a group painting exhibition.
The works prepared by the students under the supervision of art teachers Özlem Özel and Dilek Borak were exhibited in a shopping mall in the city.
The exhibition included various works such as calligraphy works, paintings related to the February 6 earthquake, acrylic, wood burning technique and pencil drawing.
Provincial Deputy Director of National Education Ekrem Demir, Branch Managers Zeki Altunkaya, Veysel Kurşun, School Principal Abdulbasit Özlük, school principals, teachers, students and parents attended the opening of the exhibition.
Provincial Deputy Director of National Education Ekrem Demir said, “We attach importance to holding such social, artistic and cultural activities in addition to academic education in our schools. Especially after the earthquake, the importance of such activities in our schools has increased even more. I would like to thank all the administrators, teachers and students who contributed.” said.
School Principal Abdulbasit Özlük said that the exhibition included different types of works of his students.
Stating that his students put in great effort to produce this beautiful work, Özlük said, “We believe that such studies carried out after major earthquakes have a healing effect on our students in terms of reducing the earthquake trauma. I would like to thank all the teachers and students who contributed to this study.” he said.
