The Directorate recently met with Gazipaşa Primary School students within the scope of the ‘Environmental Awareness’ event and provided awareness training on climate change and zero waste.

Students are informed about waste management and recycling and conscious steps are taken for a sustainable future.

These trainings, especially given at primary and secondary school levels, not only increase children’s awareness of the environment, but also provide practical information about waste management. The aim of these trainings is to raise awareness among students about reducing, separating and recycling waste at the source.

Zero waste trainings held in schools provide students with practical information such as recognizing waste types, separating recyclable materials and using recycling bins correctly, as well as raising awareness about the effects of waste on the environment and human health.
