HAVELSAN Express Competition awards found their owners in Bitlis Ahlat

Awards were given to the students who were successful in the HAVELSAN Express Competition, which was held for the second time this year in Ahlat district of Bitlis.

According to the statement made by Bitlis Governorship, 62 students from 28 universities participated in the competition organized in 3 different categories based on MAIN product, HAVELSAN’s artificial intelligence platform.

Speaking at the “HAVELSAN Express Competition” award ceremony held in Ahlat, Governor Erol Karaömeroğlu stated that the importance of the software sector in information and communication technologies is increasing day by day.

Noting that states make large investments in software projects to ensure their national security and companies to create a competitive advantage, Karaömeroğlu said:

“Developing countries such as Ireland, China and India have determined the software sector as a strategic sector and closed the gap between them and developed countries in a short time. Our country, which is among the developing countries, has been producing various policies for the software sector for about 20 years and aims to grow the software sector. In this context, the activities carried out “With the HAVELSAN Express Competition, our students have the opportunity to improve themselves. I sincerely believe that our children’s desire and efforts to transform their production skills, innovative ideas and designs into production will contribute to the bright future of our country. For this reason, I would like to thank the members of HAVELSAN who contributed to the realization of this project.”

Stating that he was proud to host the students in Bitlis, Karaömeroğlu said, “We are extremely honored to host our scientists in our ancient city today. With these thoughts, I would like to thank all our institutions, organizations and companies that contribute to the Turkish defense industry. I wish them success in their work for our country, our nation and our survival. “On this occasion, I remember with mercy our martyrs who died for our independence and future, and express my gratitude to our heroic veterans.” he said.

After the speeches, the awards of the ranking students were presented by Governor Karaömeroğlu, HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. It was given by Mehmet Akif Nacar and protocol members.
