The debate that started on social media in Kocaeli’s Darıca district ended with murder. Two people wearing ski masks raided a coffee house and killed 19-year-old Arda Yücel Ekşioğlu. After the incident, 8 people were detained.

The incident took place on April 12 at the coffeehouse on İstasyon Street. Allegedly, Arda Yücel Ekşioğlu and YT had an argument on social media. As the incident escalated, the other party took action.

THEY CAME WITH SNOW MASKS

17-year-old C.Ş. and YT came to the coffeehouse where Arda Yücel Ekşioğlu was, wearing ski masks and riding a stolen motorcycle. YT pulled out the gun and fired into the coffeehouse. Arda Yücel Ekşioğlu lost his life in the coffeehouse where 8 bullets hit him. After the incident, the two suspects escaped and fled the area.

After the murder, Kocaeli Police Department homicide bureau teams took action. The teams deepened the investigation and determined that the two suspects had fled out of the city. After technical and physical follow-up, the murder suspect YT was found in Mersin and the motorcycle driver C.Ç. He was caught in Sakarya. R.Ç., İ.A., M.İ.A., E.Ö., İ.KT, who allegedly helped the two suspects escape, were caught during the operation carried out in Istanbul, Sakarya, Mersin and Kocaeli. A.Ö. He was detained during routine checks by police teams.
