Mustafa ERCAN/ MERSİN, (DHA)-The factory in the central Yenişehir district of MERSİN, which was determined to produce cheese under unhealthy conditions, was sealed.
Yenişehir Municipality police teams, which continue their inspections throughout the city in order to protect the health of citizens, detected that cheese production was taking place under unhealthy conditions on the ground floor of an apartment building in Akkent District. During the inspections, it was determined that the factory was unlicensed and hygiene conditions were not complied with. Police teams confiscated and destroyed 40 kilos of cheese ready for sale in the illegal factory. A report was also kept about the sealed workshop operator.
Yenişehir Mayor Abdullah Özyiğit pointed out that they will not tolerate those who endanger the public’s health and said that they will continue their inspections uninterruptedly. Mayor Özyiğit stated that citizens should report any negativities they encounter by calling the ‘153 Alo Police’ line or the Yenişehir Public Desk at 444 33 54. (DHA)
