National gardens in Ankara are home to many animal species

The national gardens, which were brought to the city by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, not only host recreation areas, walking paths, bicycle tracks, ice rinks, theme gardens, sports fields, children’s playgrounds, picnic and rest areas, but also provide habitat for various animals.

There are animal species such as horses, ponies, chickens, rabbits, sparrows, peacocks, ducks, magpies, crows, frogs and green parrots that live in the public gardens in Ankara, whose service area exceeds 1 million square meters.

Animals attract attention from city residents, especially children.
