The meeting of the board, which was established to carry out studies on the creation of employment and vocational training policies, the determination of active workforce programs to be implemented with employment protective, developing and unemployment preventive measures, and the monitoring and evaluation of employment activities and vocational training practices, took place in the Governorship Meeting Hall. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan attended the meeting via video conference. Ordu Governor Muammer Erol, OBB Deputy Chairman Celal Tezcan, Provincial Director of Labor and Employment Agency İsa Kaymak, Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Fatih Vargeloğlu, Provincial Trade Director Şenel Çakır, Industry and Technology Provincial Director Zeki Ardahanlıoğlu and board members attended.

In his speech, Vedat Işıkhan said, “As you know, we see 2024 as a milestone year for our country in many aspects. We are going through a process of great importance, both in terms of the beginning of the second century of our republic and the realization of the breakthroughs made in the ‘Turkey Century’ vision put forward by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We have an uninterrupted task of execution before us, in which we will work and produce non-stop. I would especially like to emphasize that this uninterrupted period imposes great responsibilities on all of us, especially our provincial administrators. Considering the fact that social development and development starts locally, it is also important to ensure central and local coordination and cooperation of our institutions operating locally.” said.

While the meeting continued with the evaluation of the decisions taken and the work done in the previous meeting, İsa Kaymak informed Governor Erol and the board members about the activities carried out by İŞKUR Ordu Provincial Directorate in the January-March 2024 period. Kaymak said that they prefer to direct skill-based people to work and stated that in many workplaces, employees cannot ensure job continuity.

Providing information about the Disabled and Ex-Convicts Establishing Their Own Business Project, Kaymak said, “It is the support provided to disabled people who are registered with the institution, with at least 40 percent disability, and former convicts who are also registered to the institution, who want to establish their own businesses, retirees, business owners, and unemployed people who are not workers, to start their own businesses.” . Support is provided up to 300 thousand TL for agriculture and livestock projects for disabled people, 400 thousand TL for other projects, 240 thousand TL for agriculture and livestock projects for ex-convicts, and up to 300 thousand TL for other projects. Our deadline for application is June 7. “In the January-March 2024 period, 16 programs and 128 participants were audited within the scope of the On-the-Job Training Program, and 1 program and 50 participants were audited within the scope of the Community Benefit Program,” he said.

The meeting ended with decisions taken on the issues suggested by the Executive Board.
