The most equipped and fastest fire team competition in Sinop – Malatya Current

The 2024 Most Equipped and Fastest Fire Team Competition was held in Sinop. The competition was recorded with a drone.
The 2024 most equipped and fastest fire team competition was organized by the Regional Directorate of Forestry in Sinop. Sinop Governor Dr. participated in the competition organized by Sinop Forest Management Directorate, Sinop Forest Management Directorate, Collective Protection Building. Mustafa Özarslan, Sinop Forest Regional Director Celal Kambur, institution and department heads and staff attended.
Speaking at the program that started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, Sinop Governor Dr. Mustafa Özarlsan stated that the fires that occurred were human-caused and said, “The real problem in fires is people’s fault. We know this. How can we fix this human error? We say education is a must. It can happen with education. The current work is, of course, an exercise, opening the season, recharging energy, coming together as a group, creating synergy, and building strength and power within ourselves. “At the same time, by giving such a message to the public, everyone will raise awareness and check each other to reduce the number of human-caused fires, which is around 95 percent to 96 percent,” he said.
Then, personnel from the Sinop Regional Directorate of Forestry first conducted a fire extinguishing drill at a distance of 400 meters, and then organized a competition for the earliest and most effective intervention. Competitors competed in branches such as laying the hose first by splicing the hoses connected to the fire trucks, opening the valve first, and responding to the fire with or without foam. As a result of the competition, Türkeli Forest Management Directorate came 1st, Gerze Forest Management Directorate 2nd and Sinop Forest Management Directorate 3rd.
