Yusuf DEMİR/ANTALYA, (DHA) – The decorative works produced in art courses opened in different branches for young women in cooperation with AZİZE Kahraman Public Education Center (AKHEM) and Akdeniz Family Health and Education Association were dazzling.
The ribbon of the exhibition titled ‘Colorful’ opened at Muratpaşa Municipality Aydın Kanza Art Gallery was presented by Provincial Directorate of National Education Lifelong Learning Branch Manager Mustafa Akçıl, Muratpaşa District Deputy Directors of National Education Fedai Yaman, Şükrü Kılınç, Yasemin Pattabanoğlu, Ayhan Işık, Azize Kahraman Public Education Director İnci. The leg was cut together by deputy principals Devrim Akbaba, Özgür Atamer, Şerafettin Kuzucuk, Çiğdem Ötgen, Hatice Göktaş, and Mediterranean Family Health and Education Association President Nilgün Atasoy.
OPENED WITH A DANCE SHOW
In the exhibition, which opened with a dance show, training sessions were given in the fields of basket weaving, soap and felt making, knitting, renewing old items, ceramics, decoration and chocolate cake making under the guidance of course teachers Aygün Öncül, Selma Güneş, Sema Kırka, Neşe Öncel, Ümmiye Demirci and Zümrüt Kaçmaz. The art works created by the participating women were featured, and the colorful works aroused admiration.
OLD THINGS ARE RENEWED IN THE COURSE
Nilgün Atasoy, President of the Mediterranean Family Health and Education Association, reminded that the association has course centers in several parts of the city, and pointed out that the interest in training is increasing every year. Atasoy said, “In the courses we opened in cooperation with AKHEM, the talents of our young girls and housewives are revealed and their self-confidence increases. Trainees renew their old belongings with artistic designs and turn them into decorative items. They also contribute to their family budgets by making money by making cakes.” Atasoy thanked AKHEM administrators and teachers.
