An Arab diplomat speaking to Israel-based Kan News said that Turkey proposed a plan to Arab countries in the first months of Israel’s attacks, but some Arab countries rejected this plan.

According to the plan designed by Türkiye; Türkiye and Arab countries would deploy a peacekeeping force in Gaza and the West Bank. An Arab diplomat with knowledge of the subject announced that the plan designed by Turkey was rejected by some Arab countries, including Egypt.

“ARAB STATES LOOK AT TURKEY WITH SUSPICION”

Speaking to Kan News, the diplomat said that Arab states are suspicious of Turkey’s initiatives in Palestine. The diplomat stated that Turkey was “trying to do something by asserting itself”; He based this claim on his frequent meetings with Turkey’s Hamas leaders in recent days, especially President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
