ZBEU Nursing Department Students Held a Uniform Ceremony

ZBEÜ Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer attended the 2023-2024 Academic Year Uniform Ceremony, which was held for the first time this year for first-year students of the Department of Nursing.

Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nursing 2023-2024 Academic Year Uniform Ceremony was held. ZBEÜ Rector Prof. attended the ceremony held at Sezai Karakoç Cultural Center. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Bekir Hakan Bakkal, Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, General Secretary Prof. Dr. Zehra Safi Öz, senate members, academicians, students and families attended.

Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Associate Professor of the Department of Nursing. Dr. Nurten Taşdemir stated that they were happy to hold the uniform wearing ceremony for the first time this year. Then, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. took the podium. Dr. Sibel Koçak stated that the students who wore their first uniforms have taken an important step into the profession and said, “I hope that you will proudly wear the uniforms you will wear today throughout your professional life, make our university and your family proud, and at the same time prepare very well for your professional life. You will easily adapt to all healthcare systems both in our country and in the world.” “You are the generation that will grow up in the light of science and be aware of today’s modern healthcare systems. I believe with all my heart that each of you will come to great places in your careers and will be individuals who contribute to our country and our future in the field of health. May your first step into the nursing profession be beneficial and auspicious.” he said.

ZBEÜ Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer stated that the university has trained the health professionals of the future in a well-equipped manner with the qualified education it offers in the field of health. Pointing out that the importance of the nursing profession was witnessed once again during the pandemic period, Özölçer gave advice to nurse candidates to do their profession devotedly. Emphasizing that it is an exciting time for students to take their first steps into their professional lives, Özölçer congratulated them and wished them continued success.

After the speeches, the students of the nursing department were given their uniforms by Rector Özölçer and Senate Members. The ceremony ended after the group photo shoot. – ZONGULDAK
