Anamur Forest Management Directorate released 4000 predatory insects, Calasoma Scaypanta, to different locations as part of the fight against forest pests. Again, in the fight against the Camkese Beetle, cages were established to propagate Prus Cavudata.

In the laboratories of Mersin Regional Directorate of Forestry, 2500 Calasoma Scaypanta insects were reared and 57000 Calasoma hatchlings were distributed to all districts of Mersin Province.

As Mersin Regional Directorate of Forestry, it does not use chemical control to combat the Pine Beetle, which is one of the forest pests, as it will harm other living things. In order to preserve the balance of nature, we carry out our struggle by multiplying the creatures that feed on the Çamkese beetle.
