Bayburt University students became Turkish Champions as a team

Bayburt University Youth and Sports Club athletes became champions as a team in the Men’s category of the Universities Arm Wrestling Turkish Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Eskişehir between 23-25 ​​April.

Bayburt University students, who reached a total of 41 points in the competitions held at Eskişehir Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate Porsuk Indoor Sports Hall, became champions as a team.

The athletes who achieved success in the championship are as follows:

Competing in 65 kilos, Bedri Demirci came 2nd in the left arm and 3rd in the right arm.

In 70 kilos, Furkan Yakupoğlu placed 5th in right and left arms.

In 75 kilos, Eren Elikılıç came 2nd in left arm and 3rd in right arm.

In the 80 kg category, Emirhan Yıldızoğlu came 2nd in the right arm and 4th in the left arm.

In 90 kilos, İlker Bayraktar came 3rd in left arm and 4th in right arm.

Rector Prof. published a congratulatory message on social media upon the news of the students’ championship. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen said, “Our students’ ankles were not twisted once again. I congratulate our students and technical team who became the champions of the Men’s category with 41 points, which they deservedly collected in the Universities Arm Wrestling Turkey Championship.” he said.
