Under the instructions of Zonguldak Mayor Tahsin Erdem, teams affiliated with the Veterinary Affairs Directorate continue their disinfection activities in previously known larvae areas.
Veterinary Affairs Manager Rıza Akçay stated that they applied larvae within the scope of combating mosquitoes and houseflies;
“Our trained personnel affiliated with the Directorate of Veterinary Affairs carried out intensive disinfection work, especially in stream beds, wetlands and garbage disposal areas, within the scope of combating mosquitoes and black flies that are in the egg-laying period in areas previously known to us. We want to minimize the fly and mosquito problems experienced in summer through early spraying, thanks to the larva application that will continue every 15 days. So far we have completed our work in Soğuksu and Çarşı. “In the next period, we will continue our disinfection efforts according to the notices and complaints from our citizens,” he said.
