According to the decision, the period between 19 May and 10 October 2024 was determined as the grazing season for 2024. Outside of this period, animal grazing was prohibited.
According to the details of the decision, it was decided to restrict grazing in some regions between 15 July and 05 August 2024, which was determined as the summer critical period, in order for the plants to shed their seeds and renew themselves. These measures were taken to protect pasture plants against overgrazing, increase grazing capacity and ensure sustainability.
While it was emphasized that the start and end dates of the determined grazing period should be respected, it was stated that violations could result in serious sanctions. With this decision, a critical step was taken to protect the pastures, pastures and winter pastures in Giresun, and a warning was made that those engaged in animal husbandry activities should pay attention to the determined date ranges.
