As a result of the work carried out by the gendarmerie teams in Eskişehir, legal action was taken against 2 suspects who were found to be selling their smuggled cigarettes as they found customers, and 236 packs of smuggled cigarettes were seized during the search of their residences.

According to the information obtained, Eskişehir Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate (KOM) teams determined that 2 people residing in Türkmentokat District of Odunpazarı district were selling smuggled cigarettes without banderoles and holograms, which they obtained illegally, as they found customers. Following this situation, a total of 236 packs of smuggled cigarettes of various brands were seized and kept under protection during the search carried out by the teams at the suspects’ house. It was learned that legal proceedings were initiated against the suspects upon the instructions of the Public Prosecutor.
