Zonguldak Spor Basket 67 Club President Kanat Tan called on them to support the dynamics of the city in order to create a strong team before the 2024-2025 season.
Zonguldak Spor Basket 67, which will compete with teams with huge budgets such as Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and teams of state institutions and organizations, in the ENG Women’s Basketball Super League this season, needs to create a strong team to challenge these teams.
For this reason, President Tan invited everyone, especially politicians, public institutions and organizations, holdings and business people, to support Zonguldakspor Basket 67 in the Super League.
ZONGULDAK IS IN THE SUPER LEAGUE AFTER 35 YEARS
Making a statement about the issue on his social media account, President Tan said: “Imagine a city whose team will be in the super league after 35 years in sports. As the champion in women’s basketball for two years in a row, they won a record victory from the lowest tier to the top league, the ENG Women’s Basketball Super League.” “And we are talking about a team that is undefeated at home and has achieved success with the support of all the fans. Its name is Zonguldakspor Basket 67.”
THE SUPER LEAGUE LEVEL IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ECONOMICLY
President Tan: “As a management, we made a promise from the day we were established, we said that we would take this team to the super league and we achieved it. We made a lot of effort, both materially and morally, to keep the name of Zonguldakspor alive at the highest levels. We are glad that we tried and worked hard. The city is happy with this. However, the Super League level is completely different economically with huge budgets such as the last Euroleague champion Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Galatasaray.
