Provincial Coordination Board Meeting for Fighting Addiction was Held in Artvin

The Provincial Coordination Board Meeting for Fighting Addiction in Artvin was held under the chairmanship of Governor Cengiz Ünsal.

Mayor Bilgehan Erdem, Chief Public Prosecutor Yunus Emre Büyükyurt, Deputy Governor Ömer Kıraç, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Mehmet Çelik, Provincial Police Chief Hüseyin Adatepe, and representatives of relevant public institutions and organizations attended the meeting held at the Governorship Çoruh Meeting Hall.

Speaking at the meeting, Governor Ünsal stated that drugs are a serious danger that shakes the foundations of society and drew attention to the importance of the fight against drugs and addiction.

Ünsal stated that studies on the fight against addiction and drugs are carried out intensively in Turkey, and emphasized that continuity and cooperation of all segments of society are important in the fight against addiction.

Governor Ünsal noted that the work carried out within the scope of the fight against addiction will continue in a coordinated and determined manner and, considering the sensitivity of the issue, instructed the relevant institution managers to carry out the necessary work meticulously.

At the meeting, where the activities carried out regarding the decisions taken by the Provincial Coordination Board for Fighting Addiction in the previous meeting were evaluated, Provincial Health Director Gürol Köroğlu made a presentation about the work done so far on the fight against addiction, especially drugs.

The meeting ended with the mutual exchange of views of the board members.
