The foundation was laid in Kars in 2023 by the then Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Prof. Dr. Work has restarted at the Biological Wastewater Treatment Facilities built by Vahit Kirişçi.

Within the framework of the project worth approximately 780 million liras, 50 thousand cubic meters of water per day will be purified and released into the Kars Stream. When the facilities are completed, the Kars Stream will flow cleanly.

The reconstruction of the Biological Wastewater Treatment Facilities in Kars, which started last year and was suspended as of the winter, started with the opening of the construction season.

With the warming of the weather and the start of the construction season, the relevant company continues to formwork and concrete laying operations in the administrative buildings and main buildings of the facilities in the Dereiçi region.

Work continues at full speed on the 17.49 kilometer collector line of the Biological Wastewater Treatment Facilities, which will ensure that domestic wastewater is transmitted to the treatment plant via collector lines from where the existing wastewater collection line ends. Pipes are being laid carefully with the work carried out from the Treatment Plant to Kars.

On the other hand, in the Kars Biological Wastewater Facilities, which are planned to be completed in 2025, domestic pollution will be eliminated and the purified water will be discharged to the Kars Stream and then to the Kars Dam in accordance with the regulations. When the works are completed, the problem and pollution in the Kars Stream will be completely prevented.
