Efforts to catch criminals in Kütahya and Afyonkarahisar continue. The teams caught 6 suspects in a simultaneous operation at 7 addresses aimed at illegal arms dealers.
As a result of the coordinated work carried out by the Public Order Branch and Intelligence Branch Directorates to detect the persons dealing in weapons in the area of responsibility of the Kütahya Provincial Police Department, it was determined that the persons who legally purchased weapons from Afyon with a gun possession license sold the weapons they brought to Kütahya and committed theft after the sale. It was determined that they made a claim that it was stolen. A total of 66 pistol cartridges of various diameters were seized during the intermediate arrest made as a result of the projected technical and physical tracking work on individuals named ED (37), ED (39), YV (32) and BM (23).
It was determined that the 4 suspects, against whom an investigation was initiated, were in contact with 2 different people regarding the arms trade. As a result of the simultaneous operation carried out at a total of 7 addresses, 4 addresses in Kütahya city center and 3 addresses in Siner District, which is the gendarmerie responsibility area, in order to capture the suspects and capture other criminal elements subject to investigation, 6 suspicious persons in Kütahya city center and seize the criminal elements. 6 suspicious persons were caught. As a result of the search, 2 unlicensed pistols, 5 shotguns, 127 rifle cartridges, 13 pistol cartridges of various diameters and 5 pistol magazines were seized.
Legal proceedings were initiated against 6 suspects who were caught and detained.
