The fire that broke out in the car park of a 52-flat building in Çanakkale’s Ayvacık district was heartbreaking. While the residents of the building affected by the smoke were endangered, the vehicle became unusable.
The fire in Çanakkale broke out at around 22:00 in the parking lot of a 52-flat building in Fatih District. A parked car in the parking lot started to burn for an unknown reason. Upon the notice of the residents of the building who saw the flames and smoke, many firefighters, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address.
Citizens in 52 flats, who were worried when the smoke spread during the fire surrounded the interior of the building, were evacuated by firefighters. The burning car was extinguished with the intervention of firefighters. The car became unusable. Citizens who went out returned to their homes approximately 2 hours after firefighters evacuated the smoke surrounding the building. While no one was injured in the incident, the police started an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
