Students in Erzincan earn additional income by growing organic vegetables

Students of Gül Celal Toraman Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Erzincan grow organic vegetables in the greenhouse in the school garden. Students both learn the greenhouse farming profession and earn additional income. The vegetables they produce are purchased by the locals at affordable prices.

Gül Celal Toraman Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students grow many vegetables, from arugula to spinach, lettuce and radish, in the 300 square meter greenhouse in the school garden. Students who grow vegetables according to the season both learn the intricacies of the greenhouse profession and earn additional income. The organic vegetables produced by the students in the practice areas 5 days a week are purchased by the locals at affordable prices.

Erzincan Governor Hamza Aydoğdu also visited Gül Celal Toraman Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Governor Aydoğdu, who chatted with the students for a while and expressed his wishes for success, also met with school administrators and teachers and received information about educational activities.

Governor Aydoğdu also visited the greenhouses containing the seedlings grown by students and teachers with advanced techniques and methods within the scope of the school’s agricultural activities and received information about the work done, and was informed that the grown seedlings were offered to the service of farmers this year, as every year. – ERZİNCAN
